Aurangabad. During the Chief Minister’s Pragati Yatra, the historic gift of Aurangabad has now started landing on the ground. The construction work of the River Front Corridor to be built at a cost of 74 crores has been approved and its work has also been started. On Friday, District Officer Shrikant Shastri inspected the construction site and took stock of the progress of this ambitious project.
The construction of this river front corridor will promote water recharge in Aurangabad, which will give a new life to the Adari river, which has been suffering for a long time. In addition, it will also act as a corridor bypass, so that people from Fesar and surrounding areas will be able to easily reach NH-19 without entering the city.
Plantation will be done on both sides of this corridor on the 1.5 km long route. Open gym, toilets and parks will be built at 4 to 5 places. The corridor will develop as a tourist destination along with enhancing the beauty of the city.
This project is being implemented under the Water-Life-Hariyali Mission and with its completion, the development of the district will get a new direction. Local people have appreciated the efforts of the Bihar government and the district administration and described it as a historic step.
There is a wave of happiness among the people of Aurangabad over the construction of the River Front Corridor. People are considering it a revolutionary step towards the development of the city, which will not only strengthen the infrastructure, but will also promote environmental protection.
