Started career at the age of 20
Mahesh Bhatt started writing for advertisements at the age of just 20. Moving forward in his struggle-filled life, Mahesh decided to enter the film industry and worked as the secretary of Smita Patil and Vinod Khanna. After this, he never looked back and today he is at a position where people dream of reaching. Moving towards success, he directed his first film at the age of just 26. Apart from this, he started his career as a producer with the film ‘Kabzaa’.
This superstar gave support to his faltering career
In a conversation with Radio Nasha, Mahesh Bhatt told how he got the support of 70s superstar Vinod Khanna during his faltering career. Mahesh Bhatt praised Vinod Khanna and said, ‘Vinod Khanna made Mera Gaon Mera Desh. Veteran actor Vinod Khanna was not only my colleague but also a very good friend, whose secretary I used to be. He played a very important role in my life. The good person that I have become today is only because of him.’ He said that 70s superstar Vinod Khanna helped Raj Khosla and his faltering career was rectified, due to which he is so famous today.
