Due to this, shopkeepers and customers also started panicking. Water logging occurs in the market only during light rains. Due to this the business gets ruined. Due to lack of proper drainage of drains, rain water gets accumulated on the road. Due to mud, customers and poles slip and fall. Market shopkeepers say that due to weak police patrolling, incidents often occur. Due to lack of parking in the market, traffic jam is a serious problem. Due to lack of deployment of traffic police, there is often jam at West Darwaza turn. There is also shortage of drinking water and toilets in the market. This causes problems to traders.
Customer arrivals reduced due to lack of security
Shopkeepers say that due to incidents of crime, lack of transport facilities and lack of security, the arrival of customers has reduced. The government earns crores of rupees of revenue from the market in the form of income tax, sales tax and holding tax. But in the name of convenience there is not a single public toilet here. Due to this, businessmen coming from far away places face difficulty.
Encroachment on the road causes problems. Pedestrians get disturbed due to the expansion of shops on the footpath. When there is light rain, the entire market gets filled with mud.
