Jaipur. A tragic chain snatching incident took place in Pratap Nagar area of Jaipur on Monday night. In this incident, two bike-borne miscreants robbed the gold chain from the wife of a businessman. This incident took place when the woman was opening the main gate of her house after returning from the temple.
According to information, Poonam Jain (38), wife of Devendra Jain and her husband who runs a pea business, had gone to visit a temple near the Sanganer Gaushala on Monday night. When she was returning home on her scooty at around 9 pm and was opening the gate, two miscreants riding a power bike attacked her.
A miscreant sitting behind on the bike got down from the scooty and ran towards Poonam. He attacked her neck and made her fall along with the scooty and looted the gold chain. Meanwhile, the other miscreant was wearing a helmet and helped her escape.
When Poonam raised an alarm, people nearby rushed to help, but the miscreants fled quickly on their power bike.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, Pratap Nagar police station has started scanning the nearby CCTV footage. The activities of the bike-riding miscreants have been captured in the footage and the police are trying to identify and arrest them.
