Sultanpur, Amrit Vichar: With the wish of having a child, long life of the son and prosperity of the family, women fasting on Chhath festival offered Arghya to Lord Bhaskar, the setting sun, on Thursday evening. The atmosphere remained natural with the songs of Chhath Mata at Sitakund Dham of Adi Ganga Gomti. On Friday morning, the women fasting by standing waist-deep in water from the Sitakund coast will complete the difficult Chhath fast by offering Arghya to the rising sun.
A huge crowd of devotees gathered at Sitakund Dham on Thursday, the third day of the four-day Chhath Puja festival. From noon onwards, fasting women from Chowk, Viveknagar, Ruhatta Gali, Shastri Nagar, Vinobapuri and other localities came out towards Sitakund Dham with their families. Reach the Dham singing folk auspicious songs along with musical instruments. The women observing fast on the altars (pindas) built from the stairs of Sitakund Dham to the Sitakund beach started offering prayers from Thursday evening. Here, children and their family members also cooperated in the puja rituals along with the women observing a difficult fast. The whole city gathered to see the worship of Chhath Mata. A large number of women, girls and other people gathered at Sitakund Dham. After the late night puja, the fasting women and their families return to their homes while chanting auspicious songs. Women will reach Sitakund Dham again on Friday morning. Where she will stand in waist-deep water in the river Gomti and offer prayers to the rising sun. After donating here, the difficult Chhath festival fast will end.
Municipality tightened its belt
Under the leadership of Municipal Administration Chairman Praveen Kumar Aggarwal and EO Lal Chandra Saroj, Dala was busy in completing the arrangements at Sitakund Ghat for Chhath festival. Hanuman Singh remained continuously engaged in the arrangements with a huge team of cleaning workers. Apart from this, arrangements for water tankers etc. were also completed. Arrangements for temporary change of clothes and mobile toilet were also made here.
Gomti Mitra Mandal also took responsibility
If any religious ritual is performed at Sitakund Dham, the people of Gomti Mitra Mandal Samiti participate enthusiastically. Officials and workers of Mitra Mandal should be continuously engaged in the puja rituals held on Dala Chhath festival. The people of the friend group were continuously engaged in arranging for people to take bath at the ghat and for cleaning etc. State President Madan Singh, Ramesh Maheshwari, Ajay Singh, Dinkar Singh, Sant Kumar Pradhan, Ajay Verma, Sonu Singh, Vipin Soni etc. were busy in completing the arrangements.
The team of Swarnakar Samaj also cooperated
The puja here is mainly organized by the goldsmith community. The women of the Swarnakar family actively participate in the puja. Throughout the week, under the leadership of District President of the society Raj Kumar Soni, General Secretary Vinod Soni, Munna Lal Soni, Neeraj Soni, Surendra Soni etc. are engaged in the arrangements.
Rashtriya Seva Bharti organizes free medical camp
Rashtriya Seva Bharti organized a free medical camp at Sitakund Dham on the occasion of Dala Chhath Puja. Dr. Sunil Tripathi, General Secretary, Department of Seva Bharti, said that along with a free medical camp for the coming devotees, arrangements have been made for free milk and lemon tea for the puja.
Women asked for long life of children from Chhath Mata
On the occasion of Chhath Puja, a large number of women stood in the water at sunset near Narayan Sarovar Shahi Bridge and worshiped Lord Sun and prayed for the long life of their children. The fair was inaugurated by Vishwa Hindu Parishad District President Pradeep Pandey and Patron Ram Ashish Mishra by breaking the coconut. Former president Mithilesh Kumar, Ramashankar Pathak, Shiva Pandey etc. cooperated in the arrangements of the fair. Executive officer Sachin Pandey and president representative Ramesh Sonkar were also present on the occasion.
Fasting women worshiped the sun
On Sunday, the third day of Chhath festival in Surapur, fasting women reached Makri Kund Sarovar Ghat of Bijethua Mahavir Dham to worship the Sun. Women stood in the water and offered water to the setting sun. He had soup, sugarcane, fruits and Thekua Prasad in his hands. After offering Arghya, the women came out of the water and lit incense sticks and lamps and got engrossed in the worship of the Sun. Many devotees including Kapali Baba, Sanu Pathak, Vijaygiri, Rimpi Modanwal, LP Gaur, Indravati Pandey, Sarita Mishra and Kajal Kinnar were present on this occasion.
