Churu,. District Collector Abhishek Surana took feedback from all the municipal officials of the district in a meeting regarding cleanliness survey activities in the DOIT VC auditorium on Saturday and gave appropriate directions.
District Collector Surana said that the municipal officials should complete all the activities for cleanliness survey in a timely manner with the excellent management of the team. All the municipalities of the district should make efforts for ranking in the cleanliness survey and complete the necessary documentation on time. Sensitize the entire team about cleanliness survey activities. The team should have clarity about this. Regular updation and uploading of all MIS activities. Speed up all activities and complete documentation of activities as per the checklist. All officers should personally closely monitor and regularly analyze all activities. Surana said that they should analyze the shortcomings in their respective bodies during the last cleanliness survey and try to improve them and get better ranking. Organize IEC activities in municipal bodies. To make waste management more easy and effective, the process of composting using the pot method should be demonstrated to the city residents in all municipal bodies and home composting should be done by encouraging them.
He said that for proper functioning of city systems, work on outputs and take feedback from citizens. Complete the activities like ranking of clean ward, zero waste event, self-reliant ward etc. and also involve the city residents and business circles in the cleanliness survey activities.
Surana said that sanitation workers, vehicle drivers, sewerage cleaning workers, personnel appointed at pump houses should be motivated for their work and the personnel doing excellent work should be honored. He took information from all the municipal officials about the activities being done for cleanliness survey, city profile, GFC ranking, applications and technical information from MIS and technical staff and the activities being done in the field. The District Collector expressed his displeasure over Sujangarh MIS personnel not providing proper information.
