Crime News Desk!!! It was the fourth day of this month. When Narottam Singh, cousin of businessman and former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, was murdered in a villa in Goa. After this incident of high profile murder, the police came into action and two people were arrested in this connection.
But now after the third arrest, it has come to light that these three accused together wanted to blackmail Narottam Singh alias Nims Dhillon through sextortion. But in time the conspiracy of the three was exposed and then they murdered Narottam Singh.
Death of the owner of the villa
It was a Sunday that day. In the morning Goa Police gets a call. The caller says that a person has died under suspicious circumstances in a villa here. The person who died is none other than the owner of that villa, Narottam Singh Dhillon. Narottam Singh alias Nims Dhillon, 77, was one of the elite of the Gitani area, who owned not just one but three luxurious villas in this Pilar-ne-Mara area. He used one of these villas as his residence, while he kept the other two villas as guest houses.
The body was lying on the bed, there were injury marks on the body.
Dhillon had another identity, he was the cousin of former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. Now the news of the mysterious death of such a rich and influential businessman was a very serious matter in itself. So the police of Parvorim police station of Goa hurriedly reached Dhillon’s villa. The news was correct. Actually, Dhillon’s body was lying on his bed inside the villa. The clothes were in disarray and there were some injury marks on the body, which clearly showed that Dhillon’s death was not a normal death, but he was beaten or abused before his death.
This seemed to be the motive behind the murder
When the police looked closely at the body, they found that Dhillon’s mobile phone and his gold jewelery were also missing. Dhillon usually wore bracelets, gold chains and rings, but the men who killed him also killed and robbed them. At first glance, Dhillon’s case appeared to be a case of murder for robbery. Police, sniffer dogs and forensic team reached the villa and tried to gather clues about the killers. But apart from the initial attempt to reach the conclusion that the motive behind the murder was robbery, the police could not ascertain much.
A couple had come to the villa to party
But meanwhile, while investigating the villa, the police got hold of a CCTV footage, which was captured in the camera of another building nearby. According to this footage, a car left Dhillon’s villa at around 3:30 in the night. The police also learned that on the night of February 3, a young couple had come to their villa for a party. And Dhillon and his guests had dinner at about 2 p.m. That means, even a night before the murder, Dhillon was hosting some people and was engaged in their hospitality. Obviously, in this case the police’s suspicion fell on the guests who had come to party at Dhillon’s villa last night.
Suspicious guests fled not through the gate, but through the window
The police was still trying to gather some information about him, till then the police came to know that the people coming out of his house last night used the window and not the main gate to go out of the villa. In fact, in the morning the villa staff found the window open, which is usually closed, while the main gate was closed. Thus, the entire investigation till now was based on Dhillon’s unknown guests. But where they came from, where they went, what was their identity, all this was a mystery.
A couple was running away with a rented car
But apart from the recovery of the dead body and the investigation into Dhillon’s murder, last night i.e. on 3rd February, another complaint was received at the Parvorim police station in Goa. This complaint was made to the police by a person who had given his car on rent under Rent a Car. He told the police that a couple had rented a car from him yesterday. Under ‘Rent a Car’, the customer rents a car and drives it himself, but the only condition is that he will not take the car out of the state i.e. Goa. But the complainant said that the people taking the car are not only going out of Goa towards Mumbai, but they are also not picking up his calls.
Both the cases took place in Parvorim police station area.
There were some strange coincidences in both these cases. The first was a couple who had fled with the car and that couple were also suspected to be involved in Dhillon’s murder, the theft of the car also taking place around the same time as Dhillon’s murder. And both the cases took place in Parvorim police station area. In such a situation, Goa Police also started linking these two cases and immediately started tracking the car. The car was going from Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra towards Mumbai.
The killer was linked to a sextortion gang
And then in the case of murder of Nims, the Goa Police had arrested the boy-girl pair, but now the story of Dhillon’s murder has come to light, it has forced even the Goa Police to think. Yes, Dhillon was not murdered just for robbery, but the people who killed him were associated with a sextortion gang, who wanted to trap Dhillon and rob him. But before the conspiracy could be completed, their ship broke midway. And the gang’s miscreants not only had to leave Goa, but to destroy the evidence, they directly killed an elderly businessman.
Third accused arrested from Madhya Pradesh
When Dhillon’s body was found in his villa in Goa, the police investigating the case came to know that the killer had fled towards Navi Mumbai in a rented car after committing the crime. After which the police, with the help of Navi Mumbai Police, arrested the boy and girl couple, but one accused was still absconding, who has now been arrested by Goa Police from Datia, Madhya Pradesh. And with this a surprising story has come to light.
When the conspiracy failed he was assassinated
Investigation revealed that Neetu Rahuja, a girl associated with this gang, had earlier befriended Narottam Singh Dhillon on Instagram. After which Dhillon called Pooja to his villa in Goa and invited her for a party. But Pooja had reached there not alone but with two boys. One was with her alleged boyfriend Jitendra Sahu while the other boy was Kunal Khattik. Pooja introduced Jeetendra Sahu to Dhillon and called him her friend, but Kunal Khatik was still in hiding. On the night of 3 February, on the pretext of a party, all three wanted to shoot obscene pictures and videos of Dhillon. Kunal Khatik was hiding in the bathroom of Dhillon’s villa with this intention, but was suddenly caught. And when all three were afraid of being exposed, they together took Dhillon’s life.
Navi Mumbai Police caught the car like this
Now let us try to know how the murder of Narottam Singh alias Nims Dhillon came to light on the morning of 4th February. Actually, Goa Police itself informed Navi Mumbai Police about the car in which a couple was running away. The police had also shared his location. Navi Mumbai Police started tracking the car and finally caught it from Pen area in Raigad district of Maharashtra.
This is how a vicious couple was caught!
According to the complaint of Goa Police, a couple was found in the car, who were immediately taken into custody by the police. However, there was another person in the car with the couple, who had accompanied them to Goa, but he managed to escape. After this the interrogation started. Along with knowing the reason behind running away with the car, the police were also interrogating them on the angle of Dhillon’s murder. At first both of them denied the murder, but when during their search the gold ornaments looted from Dhillon were recovered, the matter became clear. The arrested couple were identified as Jitendra Sahu and his friend Neetu Rahuja.
Friendship with Nims on Instagram
But the story that came out after interrogating both of them turned the minds of Navi Mumbai Police towards Goa Police. According to police sources, the reason behind this murder is not robbery but a story of deception and misconduct. The couple told the police that they had met Goan businessman and hotelier NS Dhillon on social media. Dhillon introduces himself and invites her to a party in Goa. This boy-girl couple living in Bhopal had come on Dhillon’s invitation to party at his villa in Goa.
misbehaved with a girl
But according to both of them, after the party on the night of 3rd February, NS Dhillon started misbehaving with his guest girl. And when the couple protested against this, Dhillon resorted to threats. And right after this, in anger, he had a fight with Dhillon and during this fight, Dhillon died at his hands.
Isn’t this a fake or tampered story?
Obviously, there was also a question that if they really killed Dhillon out of anger, then why did they loot Dhillon’s valuables like jewelery and mobile phone after the murder? At present the police want to know whether the motive of the murder was robbery. Could it be that they are telling the story of Dhillon’s cunningness to hide his motive of robbery? Obviously, now the Goa Police will take the couple accused of murder into custody and interrogate them and then the whole story will become clear.
