Dehradun News Desk. After the completion of the delimitation process, the voter list revision process will begin in five municipalities of the state. State Election Commissioner Sushil Kumar has issued its notification on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the Urban Development Department issued a notification for delimitation of Khatima, Nagla, Kichha, Karnaprayag and Ramnagar Nagar Palikas. The State Election Commission issued a notification for the voter list revision campaign on Wednesday. Under this, the voter list will be prepared from 9 September to 18 September by marking the voters according to the new delimitation from the previously prepared voter list.
From 19th September to 29th September, all the concerned voters will be migrated ward-wise through software. The draft will be released on 30th September. After this, objections and suggestions will be taken from 1st October to 8th October. Settlement will be done from 9th to 11th October. The final voter list in all the five municipalities will be declared on 16th October. According to this, municipal elections will be held here.
New voters will also be created
A campaign will also be run in the five municipalities to make the youth who complete 18 years of age on January 1, 2024, voters. According to the State Election Commissioner, everyone’s name can be included in it. Elections will be held accordingly.
