Deora targets Congress and Aditya Thackeray after Telangana CM accepts Adani's donation

Mumbai, October 19 (IANS). Shiv Sena MP Milind Deora on Friday hit out at Shiv Sena UBT leader Aditya Thackeray and the Congress, who have been repeatedly attacking the grand alliance government in the state for allegedly favoring the Adani Group.

Without naming Aditya Thackeray, Deora praised Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who accepted Rs 100 crore from the Adani Group, a group often criticized by the Congress party, to set up the Young India Skills University.

In his post on Twitter, which was tagged with the Telangana CMO’s post, which showed the Telangana Chief Minister accepting a check from Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani and his son, Deora said, “I am @revant_anumula Ji, for accepting Rs 100 crore from a group his party often disparages to set up the Young India Skills University to benefit the youth in his state. “Maybe a course can help some young #Maharashtra politicians get their priorities right.”

Thus, Deora has advised Aditya not to criticize any particular industry group just for the sake of political gain.

Deora’s move comes days after Aditya criticized the Mahayuti government for giving 1080 acres of land in Mumbai for free to the Adani Group in the name of Dharavi redevelopment.

Aditya claimed, “Construction of about 700,000 sq. ft. outside Dharavi will earn about Rs 100,000 crore with no revenue from Mumbai. Maharashtra needs to understand that Mumbai is being handed over to Adani just because they want to sell it directly to Maharashtra.” “Can’t separate from or win over politically.”

Deora took aim at Aditya after his father and former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray had announced that after the Maha Vikas Aghadi government came to power, he would be redeveloping Dharavi by Dharavi Redevelopment Project Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between the Maharashtra government and the Adani Group. Will cancel the project.

Recently, Deora targeted Aditya for writing a letter to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner on random issues. “Instead of writing love letters to the BMC commissioner on random issues, he should present a real agenda for the development of Mumbai,” Deora said.

He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra has seen rapid progress in infrastructure in Mumbai.

Deora claimed, “You stopped big projects like Mumbai Metro during the MVA regime, however, Mahayuti worked tirelessly to complete them. Mumbai will get the largest public park in Mahalaxmi Racecourse, which will be your 2013 theme park. will replace the idea of green with unprecedented greenery.”
