Chandigarh. Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister Krishna Lal Panwar inspected the Amrit Sarovar pond of Dhangar village in Fatehabad on Monday. During this, he thoroughly reviewed the construction works done by the department and gave necessary guidelines to the officers.
During the inspection, the Development and Panchayat Minister said that this pond, built under the Amrit Sarovar scheme, will play an important role in increasing water conservation, increasing ground water level in the village and maintaining natural beauty. He said that the state government is giving the best priority to the development and water conservation of rural areas and this pond is an important step in this direction.
Panchayat Minister Krishna Lal Panwar inquired from the concerned officials in detail the quality of construction works, the capacity of water harvesting and maintenance of the pond. He instructed the officials to make special efforts to develop greenery, ensure cleanliness and make the villagers aware of water conservation. He said that the state government is committed to implementing water conservation schemes effectively and ponds are being constructed and revived in every district under the Amrit Sarovar scheme. He also called upon the villagers to participate actively in the cleanliness and conservation of these water sources.
