Seeing the condition of destitute animals in the district during the winter season, the team of Municipal Council and NHAI, under the leadership of the District Collector, together started a campaign to send the destitute cattle roaming on the highway to cow shelters. This campaign started on Saturday when the Collector himself took the cows roaming on the road to the cow shed.
The District Collector told about this campaign that it is very important to arrange a safe shelter for the destitute animals on the roads during the winter season. Additionally, he also said that these helpless animals on the roads increase the risk of road accidents, which also affects the safety of citizens. The aim of this campaign is to send these animals roaming on the streets to cow shelters, where they can escape the cold and can be properly cared for. Apart from this, it will also reduce the chances of road accidents.
The District Collector has given strict instructions to the concerned departments to speed up this campaign and make arrangements to transport the destitute animals to safe cow shelters on every road. He also said that this campaign is an important step towards protecting animals as well as ensuring the safety of people. _ PRO Dholpur
