Jabalpur . The district hospital of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh is being expanded. This district hospital is known as Victoria Hospital. In this, along with the capacity of patient beds, many other facilities are being increased.
Chief Health and Medical Officer (CMHO) Dr. Sanjay Mishra said that the number of beds for patients in Victoria Hospital is to be increased from 275 to 500. A budget of Rs 33 crore has been approved for this. The construction work of the new building of the hospital has also been started.
He further informed that a four-storey building will be constructed in the new building being constructed for the district hospital. Other facilities including OPD, sonography, CT scan, MRI, doctor and nursing duty room will be available on the ground floor. ICU, NICU, three operation theatres, dialysis room and other arrangements will be made on the first floor. Operation theatres, waiting rooms, patient wards, nursing stations, and other facilities will be present on other floors.
There is also Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur, but this hospital is in the middle of the city and a need was felt to increase the facilities as well as the bed capacity. Due to this, a new building is now being constructed. With the construction of the new building, while the patients and their families will be able to get better facilities, it will also become easier for the doctors and paramedical staff serving in the hospital to discharge their responsibilities.
It is said that the number of patients coming to the hospital is high and they do not get adequate facilities. Now with the construction of the new building it will become easier to get facilities. Many times such cases have come to light when patients could not get better facilities on time.
