A new rule regarding fast tag has been implemented for drivers. Maharashtra government has taken a new decision to improve traffic rules, which will be mandatory for all drivers to follow. These rules will be implemented soon. According to this rule, it will be mandatory to install Fastag on all vehicles.
When will this rule come into effect?
It has been told in the report that this rule will be implemented from April 1, 2025. In fact, when a driver applies Fast Tag on his vehicle, then the process of toll collection becomes much easier and time is also saved. Keep in mind that this rule will apply to all private and commercial vehicles.
According to the Maharashtra government, the main objective of this initiative is to reduce traffic jams at toll plazas so that fuel can be saved. If any driver does not follow these rules then he will have to pay double the toll. All drivers will have to put fast tag on their vehicles.
