There is important news for people living abroad. Information about increase in visa fees has been given. The Finnish Ministry of the Interior has informed that the fee for residence permit application will be increased.
When will the new fee be implemented?
It has been told by the Ministry that the processing fee for residence permit application has been increased which has come into effect from January 1, 2025. It has been said that this fee will be applicable to both online and paper applications. However, electronic submission i.e. online application will always cost less than paper application.
It is said that the application fee has been increased to EUR 240 which was earlier EUR 220. Whereas for paper application the applicant will have to pay EUR 350 which was earlier EUR 270. It has been told that the new fee has come into effect from Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
