Greater Noida. There was a Mahapanchayat of farmers on Wednesday at Zero Point of Greater Noida. All the farmers arrested on Tuesday evening were released. After this, Panchayat is to be held on Thursday for further strategy. But even before this, after the post of CM Yogi Adityanath late night, the police once again detained the farmers.
At zero point around 12 o’clock in the night, the farmers were taken into custody and sent to Luxor jail. The strike was ended at zero point. The police took this action when the number of farmers was less than 50. However, the police is not ready to say anything regarding this arrest. There has been no official statement from the police regarding the arrest of farmers.
In fact, the Mahapanchayat of farmers that started on Wednesday morning at Zero Point in Greater Noida was in their favor. 123 farmers including all their jailed farmer leaders were released by the police. However, Rakesh Tikait could not attend this Mahapanchayat because the police had stopped him at Tappal.
Gaurav Tikait participated in the Panchayat representing Naresh Tikait. In the evening, the farmers who were released from jail took the stage and made it clear that the protest would be started from where it had ended. After which the farmers had decided to hold a Panchayat on Thursday night. But before this, the farmers were arrested late in the night and sent to jail.
