New Delhi. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has made a big jump in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025. The university has secured 320th position in Asia and 81st position in South Asia. In the previous edition of this ranking, the university was ranked 143rd in South Asia and between 500-550 in Asia.
The university’s rise in the ranking has been driven by its efforts to improve academic standards, promote research and encourage meaningful collaboration. GGSIPU’s ranking among 984 universities in Asia reflects its commitment to quality education and impactful research.
University Vice Chancellor Padmashree Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma said, “This achievement reflects our collective efforts leading to improved research, improved student education outcomes and effective collaboration with global partners.”
GGSIPU’s improvement in the QS Asia ranking reflects progress across various indicators, including academic and employer reputation, papers per faculty and international research network. The university ranked 136th in Asia for papers per faculty, reflecting its growing research commitment.
QS has also honored the university with the QS Recognition Award in the category “Global Engagement – Performance Improvement”. The award reflects the University’s initiative to develop international research collaborations and promote diversity and interdisciplinarity in global research initiatives.
In the QS World University Rankings 2025, the university achieved the “Rising Star Award”. Professor Verma added to this success the recent NAAC A++ accreditation, which has further strengthened the University’s reputation in the academic community.
“Our aim is to maintain this momentum and improve all metrics, be it research, quality of education or employability,” he said. He said that the objective of the university is to produce qualified professionals to meet the demands of the industry. We have to strengthen our relationships with global partners and make our mark globally in teaching and research. This achievement is a beginning. We still have many more goals to go. Have to decide.
