After the tension between India and Pakistan increased, security arrangements were tightened at important places in the national capital Delhi on Friday.
A senior police official said that security of all important places including government buildings, sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants, courts and foreign embassies has been increased.
According to Delhi Police, security arrangements are usually tight outside the historic buildings, but due to tension on the border, security has been further enhanced in different areas of Delhi.

Indian Army officials said that the Pakistan Armed Forces carried out several attacks using drones and other weapons on the entire western border on midnight of 8 and 9 May. Pakistani troops also resorted to ceasefire violation (CFV) several times along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indian Army said in a statement that the drone attacks were effectively drove and the CFV was given a befitting reply. The Indian Army is committed to protecting the sovereignty and regional integrity of the nation.
