Bihar News Desk Three railway stations in the district have been marked as Amrit Bharat stations. Along with Biharsharif, construction work is going on in Rajgir. Whereas, DPR (Detail Project Report) is currently being prepared for Nalanda station.
The construction work of Biharsharif station was closely reviewed by Danapur ADRM (Assistant Divisional Railway Manager) Aadhar Raj. This junction will start appearing in a new look in six months. ADRM said that another 30 feet wide FOB (footover bridge) is being built here. This will connect all the platforms. There will also be arrangements for the disabled to cross on it. Along with this, it has also been agreed to build three accelerators. Along with installing shelters on all platforms, arrangements for drinking water and toilets are to be made. Waiting hall, broad circulating area, water booth, better and equipped parking, commerce space are to be constructed. The number of ticket counters will be increased. There will be a hall near the ticket counter, where the family members accompanying the ticket holders will wait with their luggage.
Updated information was taken: He said that along with all the buildings being constructed at Biharsharif Junction, updated information was taken one by one about other things. The work agency has been ordered to complete the work in three to six months in any case. If the working agency proves unsuccessful in doing so, action will be taken against it.
The cafeteria facility will be used to create high priority passenger related activities by utilizing old and derelict buildings. The waiting room will be converted into a club. So that there is no boredom in waiting. Good cafeteria facilities will be provided. The entry gate and exit gate will be repaired.
The roads connecting the 600 meter long platform station will be widened. Properly designed signage, walkways, well-planned parking areas etc. will also be provided. There will be a platform about 600 meters long. Free Wi-Fi facility will also be provided at the stations. More comfortable and durable furniture will be provided in waiting rooms, platforms, rest rooms and offices.
