New Delhi. The Congress government of Karnataka has decided to increase the price of milk in the state. In the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, it has been decided to increase the price of Nandini milk at Rs 4 per liter. The increased prices will be applicable from 1 April 2025. Let us know that the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) sells its dairy products under the Nandini brand. On the other hand, due to the expensive milk, other milk products like yogurt, cheese etc. are also expensive to be expensive.
The Siddaramaiah government says that prices have been increased after considering the demand of Karnataka Milk Federation and farmer organizations. Animal Husbandry Minister of Karnataka K.K. Venkatesh said that there was a demand to increase the price of milk by Rs 5 per liter, however, the government has increased it by Rs 4. Earlier, Animal Husbandry Minister K.K. Venkatesh had informed in the state assembly this month that the government is going to increase the prices of milk. The government says that for a long time, the Karnataka Milk Federation was demanding to increase the price of milk in the state.
According to the new prices, Nandini’s toned milk which was still available for Rs 42, now its price will be Rs 46 per liter. Similarly, homaginated toned milk, which was priced at Rs 43 per liter, will now be available for Rs 47. Cow’s milk, which was available in the name of green speech for Rs 46, will be increased to Rs 50 per liter. Orange packet milk which was worth 54 rupees, now you have to spend 58 rupees. This decision of the government is going to be more loose of the common man’s pocket. Earlier, the Karnataka government had also increased the fare of bus and metro, making public transport expensive.
