A person has been arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport on charges of gold smuggling. Gold worth lakhs of rupees has been recovered from the accused. According to information received from customer officials, 1.337 kg of gold has been recovered from the accused, whose market value is ₹ 81.90 lakhs. Officials have said that the accused was bringing gold hidden in his rectum.

In this case, it has been said by the officials that the accused had come to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On the basis of suspicion, the accused was stopped and illegal gold was recovered from him. The accused had come by Indigo flight 6E 072. Investigation is being done in this matter.
