Bihar News Desk The Supreme Court has ordered the state government to pay the salary pending for the last 10 months to Patna High Court judge Justice Rudra Prakash Mishra.
A bench of Principal Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra said how can any judge be expected to work without salary. The court said that the state government should pay all the pending salaries and dues of the judge from the day it is pending. Open a temporary General Provident Fund account. It is noteworthy that due to the Justice not having a General Provident Fund (GPF) account, his salary was not being paid for the last 10 months. Justice Mishra’s lawyer told the court that he was appointed as a judge in the High Court on November 4 last year. Since then his salary has not been paid. He said that he was not being paid salary because he did not have a GPF account. During the hearing on the matter, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta assured the court that the issue would be resolved and requested to hear the matter. However, the court stressed on ensuring that Justice Mishra opens a temporary GPF account and pays all pending salaries and dues without delay.

Kishore had reached Janardan Ghat in Digha in the morning to take bath in the Ganga. He drowned due to losing balance between the depth of the water and the surging waves of the Ganges. Later, as soon as information about this was received, the SDRF team reached the spot. After this the body was recovered from Ganga. Digha Police Station Officer Brajkishore Singh said that after completing the legal process, the police handed over the body of the child to his family.
