PMGKAY deadline extended
Let us tell you that Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure food security of economically weaker families. Under this scheme, free grains are provided to needy families.
On Wednesday, Union Minister Anurag Thakur informed that this scheme has been extended for the next 5 years. This decision has been taken during the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Through this scheme, additional free food service is provided to the card holders. Under this scheme, 800 million Indians will be provided free food grains for the next 5 years.
