Chandigarh. Satyapal Jain, former MP from Chandigarh and Additional Solicitor General of the Government of India, has said that Sanskrit language is the key to the glorious history of India and knowledge of this language is necessary to understand the vast heritage of the country. Therefore, students should study it more so that they can learn their cultural heritage in a better way. Jain was addressing the students and teachers present in the program organized by the school on the occasion of ‘Sanskrit Day’ at Government Model School, Sector 40 A, this morning. Jain said that everyone has equal rights on education and qualification and even a child born in an economically poor family can achieve the highest position in the country and the world with his hard work and effort.
Referring to the President, Vice President, Prime Minister and some other great personalities, Jain said that all of them, born in an ordinary family, adorned the highest positions of the country with their hard work and dedication. Jain urged the children to be proud of their country, their language and their heritage and to avoid blindly copying from foreign countries.
On this occasion, school principal Jagpal Singh, social worker Rakesh Uppal, school teachers and a large number of students were also present. Jain distributed awards to the students and Jain was honored by presenting a memento on behalf of the school.
