A big news is coming from Saudi Arabia for 14 countries including India. Saudi Arabia has imposed a temporary ban for people from 14 countries regarding the visa of Umrah, Business and Family Visits, the ban will remain till mid -June 2025 i.e. by the Haj season. The report said that this decision has been taken for safety and overcrowding of people during Haj. The visa ban has come after Saudi Arabia to suspend a one -year multiple visa indefinitely and limited the journey from these 14 countries to a valid single entry visa for 30 days in February 2025.
Which country people will not be able to go?
Saudi officials have fixed the last date for issuing Umrah Visa on 13 April 2025, that is, those who go to Hajj till 13 April have been given the opportunity to register. After this, till the end of Haj pilgrimage, no new visas will be given to the citizens of these 14 countries. There are a total of 14 countries among the countries affected by Visa Suspension including Algeria, Egypt, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iraq, India, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan, Tunisia and Yemen.
Why did you have to take such a decision?
Further report said that some people from these countries including India have reached Saudi Arabia on Umrah or visit visa and have been staying for more than the time to perform Haj without registration through the official channel, which has upset that Saudi Arabia has taken this decision. Saudi Arabia officials have also warned such people that people who have performed Hajj without permission or stayed for more than perfect period can be banned for 5 years.
Please inform that Saudi Arabia had made the crowd and scorching heat of people without registrations for the deaths of more than 1200 people during Haj in 2024. It was said that these without registration pilgrims often could not reach essential facilities like housing, transport and healthcare, which causes risks and logistics difficulties.
According to the Saudi Haj and Umrah Ministry, the decision is a logical reaction to guarantee a safe and better organized pilgrims and has nothing to do with political concerns.
Why is India in the list?
Saudi Arabia has cases of visa misuse of some citizens of India for trying to perform Haj unofficially. In such a situation, Saudi Arabia has also imposed this ban on the citizens of India to get rid of the over -crowding problem, so that this problem can be reduced.
