Jaipur. Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Dr. Manju Baghmar, in a program organized on International Girl Child Day on Friday at the state level Amrita Haat organized in the South Campus of Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur from October 4 to 13, said that the Rajasthan government is working for the welfare of girls and women through various schemes. Working with determination for the development and empowerment of women.
The Minister of State for Women and Child Development said that our government has started the Lado Incentive Scheme to ensure the safe and bright future of daughters right from their birth. In which an amount of up to Rs 1 lakh is payable at various stages from the birth of the girl child. He said that schemes like Laado Protsahan will empower the girl child. He said that similarly many other development schemes including Enterprise Promotion Scheme for women and girls are being run in the state. He said that Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme is going on here. Similarly, it is necessary to develop positive thinking towards girls in the society.
Minister of State for Women and Child Development Dr. Manju Baghmar lit the lamp on the occasion of International Girl Child Day in the presence of Commissioner Women Officer Neetu Rajeshwar, Additional Director Seema Sharma, Deputy Director Bharat Bhushan Goyal, Jaipur District Deputy Director Rajesh Dogival, Deputy Director Vijayashree and Assistant Director Sunita Meena. The program was formally started by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, various presentations were given by school girls as part of cultural programme. After which Minister of State for Women and Child Development Dr. Manju Baghmar awarded the girls. After this he visited Amrita Haat.
Dr. Manju Baghmar inspected about 170 stalls set up for the sale of manufactured/value added products by 80 women self-help groups and women from different districts of Rajasthan in the state level Amrita Haat. While visiting various stalls, he praised the products manufactured by the women of self-help groups and made the purchase online through UPI.
State level Amrita Haat is attracting the people of Jaipur-
Cultural programs, selfie point, do it your self corner, self defense training demo, food court etc. are the main attractions of this state level Amrita Haat. According to the taste of the visitors, Samosa, Tandoori Tea, Bhel-Puri, Tea-Coffee, Ice Cream and many delicious items have been made available in the fair premises. Amrita Haat is a free entry for the public where they can view the entertainment and festivities along with art and cultural programs and also shop. Handicrafts, embroidery, lac bangles, papier mache items, salwar suits, terracotta, artificial jewellery, chikan and zari work, glass and patch work, everyone’s favorite pickles, murabbas, spices and other attractive handmade products are available in the haat.
It is noteworthy that Jaipurites show a lot of interest in Amrita Haat fair and they wait for this fair throughout the year because the prices of handmade products in Amrita Haat are also reasonable. This state level Amrita Haat is organized from 4th October (Friday) to 13th October. (Sunday) has been organized daily from 11 am to 9 pm.
