Entertainment News Desk!!! Aamir Raza Husain (English: Aamir Raza Husain, born 6 January 1957) is an Indian theater actor and director. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2001 by the Government of India. Aamir Raza Hussain is famous for his large outdoor stage productions such as ‘The Fifty Day War’ (2000) based on ‘Kargil War’ based on the epic Ramayana and ‘The Legend of Ram’ (2004). He is also the Creative Director of Stagedoor Theater Company, established in 1974, which has staged over 91 productions and over 1,100 performances.
Aamir Raza Hussain also appeared in the English film ‘Kim’ (1984), based on Rudyard Kipling’s novel ‘Kim’, starring Peter O’Toole in the lead role. Over the years, Aamir Raza Hussain has produced many plays. Earlier in 1998, he and his troupe in association with Delhi Tourism had organized ‘Chaudhavi Ka Chand Utsav’ at Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi, a distance of two kilometers between the historic Red Fort and Fatehpuri Mosque. The story of Rama, based on the Ramayana, was first staged as a shorter version for about a month in 1994 and later for a period of four months in 2004, with 19 outdoor sets spread over 3 acres, 35 characters and 100- Were spread among the members. The last show of the play was on 1 May 2004 in the presence of President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. In 2007 he also acted and directed. One in Two, a comedy play written by Peter Season; Which was staged in five cities across India including Mumbai. Aamir Raza Hussain revived his production Move Over in 2010. First staged under the banner of “Welcometheater” in 1997 at the official farewell ceremony of President Shankar Dayal Sharma. It was staged in several other cities across India, including Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.
