Adarsh ​​Sen Anand (English: Adarsh ​​Sein Anand, born- November 1, 1936; death- December 1, 2017) was the 29th Chief Justice of India. He held the post of Chief Justice from October 10, 1998 to January 11, 2001. Justice Adarsh ​​Sen Anand had also written a book – ‘The Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir Its Development and Comments’.

At the age of 38, Adarsh ​​Sen Anand became an Additional Judge in the Jammu and Kashmir High Court. However, in the year 1976 he became a permanent judge here. Meanwhile, he was also a judge in Madras High Court, where after completing his journey, he became the CJI of the country.
Adarsh ​​Sen Anand is also known for his decision against old vehicles.
He was also the Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission between 2003 and 2006.
Former Chief Justice Adarsh ​​Sen Anand had his early education in Jammu.
He is B.Sc., L.L.B., Ph.D. And there were Bar-Atlaw.
On November 9, 1964, he became a member of the Bar Council as a lawyer.
He practiced law in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Justice Adarsh ​​Sen Anand was appointed an Additional Judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court on May 26, 1975. On May 11, 1985, he was made the Chief Justice. Later sent to Madras High Court.
He was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court on November 18, 1995.
Justice Adarsh ​​Sen Anand has also written a book – ‘The Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir Its Development and Comments’.
In 1996, Adarsh ​​Sen Anand was elected President of the International Human Rights Society.
