He has represented India in 207 out of 96 Tests, 254 ODIs and 93 T20s. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married in Italy on December 11, 2017. Both of them got married in a private ceremony. The couple later hosted two receptions in India for their friends and close ones. Anushka Sharma revealed during the Indian Sports Honors 2023 what impressed her about the cricketer before dating Virat. Anushka told about one quality of Virat which she likes.
When Virat Kohli was asked who forgets the most important dates. Virat had said, ‘My memory is a little better. She gives me important dates to remember. So, by remembering them I have become better. Anushka said, “The thing I was really impressed with before we started dating was his memory. I said, ‘He has a great memory. This will really help me.’ Virat Kohli had told in an interview that dating with Anushka Sharma did not happen immediately when I came to know that she is a normal person and when we talked I realized that our background was similar.
From there we became friends and then slowly we started dating. On meeting Anushka Sharma for the first time, Virat Kohli had said, “Due to nervousness I did not realize how tall she was. So when I saw her heels, the first thing I asked her was, don’t you get to wear higher heels than this? After this the actress said, ‘Excuse me.’ I remember it was in 2013 when my manager came to me. And told me that I was going to shoot with Anushka Sharma, as soon as I heard this, I was very nervous.
Virat and Anushka became parents in January 2021. His daughter’s name is Vamika. However, the couple has not shown the picture of their daughter to the fans.
