Astrology News Desk: There are many fasts and festivals in Sanatan Dharma and all of them have their own importance but Ekadashi fast is considered very special which comes twice in every month. According to the Panchang, Bhadrapada month is going on right now and the first Ekadashi of this month is Aja Ekadashi which is being celebrated today i.e. on Thursday, 29th August. Fasting and worship are prescribed on this day.
Ekadashi Vrat is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu. On this day, devotees keep fast and remain immersed in the worship of Shri Hari. It is believed that by fasting and worshipping Narayan on the day of Aja Ekadashi, all the sins of the person are destroyed and happiness and prosperity also come in life. If Giriraj Chalisa is recited with a true heart during the puja, then the obstacles of life are removed and happiness and success are achieved. So today we have brought this miraculous recitation for you.

I stop playing the Veena, meditating on Lord Ganesha.
Along with great power Radha, Krishna, do good to us.
Remembering all the gods, Guru and father again and again.
Describe the fame of Shri Giriraj as per my own understanding.
॥ Chaupai ॥
Hail the devoted Giriraja. Shri Maharaja of Braj Mandal.
You are the incarnation of Vishnu. The world is crazy about your beauty.
The golden peak looks very beautiful. Gods and sages come to see it.
The quiet cave is like heaven. Where ascetics meditate.
You are the crown prince of Drongiri. You accomplish the work of your devotees.
Sage Pulastya liked it. He humbly requested me and brought it.
When the group of sages came to Braj, seeing the land of Braj they stopped here.
Vishnu Dham Gaulok is pleasant. Yamuna Govardhan Vrindavan.
Seeing this the god became tempted. To reside in it he took many forms.
Some are in the form of monkey and some are in the form of deer. Some are in the form of trees and some are in the form of creepers.
Enjoy the Golok Dham. Supreme worshipper of the name Roop.

Krishna, I have described your glory. I have decided to worship you.
Called all the residents of Braj. Got Govardhan Puja done.
Had dishes prepared for the puja. Brajvasis brought it from every house.
The cowherd boys together performed the puja. You have taken a thousand arms.
Krishna himself appears in worship. He begs for food and gets it.
Millions of men and women’s hearts are in pain. Jai Jai Girivar’s virtues are sung.
Devraj was angry in his heart. He called Braj Megha to destroy it.
You protected Braj by providing shade. Not even a single drop of water fell down.
It rained heavily for seven days. The clouds were tired and carrying heavy water.
Krishnachandra held his nails. Namo namo the protector of Braj.
Sursai got tired of being proud. She asked for forgiveness and again sang praises.
Mother, I seek your refuge. Forgive my mistake, Lord.
I requested him again and again and gave him seven kos parikamma.
Surabhi brought Airavat along. Offered with folded hands.
On receiving the boon of fearlessness, Indra became the master. By paying his respects, he became the master of his own world.
One who listens to this tale will attain the position of God at the end.

Offer water, fruits and Tulsi leaves. You will surely get the desired result.
The man who gives a stream of milk, keeps filling his storehouse.
If any man keeps vigil, he will not be troubled by fear, poverty or sorrow.
‘Shyam’ is like a rock and saves his people. Devotion and salvation are the givers of everything.
If one is childless and meditates on you, he will get a son.
She will do Dandauti Parikamma. She will easily cross the ocean of life.
In Kaliyuga, there is no other god like you. All gods, men, sages worship you.
