Anurag Thakur (English: Anurag Thakur, born October 24, 1974, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh) is one of the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In the 17th Lok Sabha, he was made the Minister of ‘Finance and Corporate Affairs’, but after the expansion and reshuffle in the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 7, 2021, he was given the responsibility of ‘Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’ and ‘Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports’. Has been given. Anurag Thakur was elected to the Lok Sabha from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh in the 2009 by-elections and 2014 general elections.
Anurag Thakur, son of former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Prem Kumar Dhumal, was born on October 24, 1974 in Hamirpur.
Anurag has obtained his graduation degree from Doaba College, Jalandhar.
He was elected as a Lok Sabha member for the first time in the May 2008 Lok Sabha elections. After this, he was elected as a Lok Sabha member for the second time in 2009.
He is a member of the Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture and Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Energy since 31 August 2009.
Apart from politics, Anurag is also associated with sports. In 2001, he became the selector of the Indian junior cricket team. After this Anurag was the President of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association.[1]
