Lord Dada is known for his famous social and comic film ‘Albela’. Bhagwan Dada, who started a special style of dance in Hindi films, was such ‘Albela’ stars, which were impressed and inspired by today’s generation, including megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The real name of Lord Dada was ‘Lord Abhaji Palav’. Lord Dada’s life and film career was full of tremendous ups and downs, but this artist holds his special place in the history of cinema.
Life introduction
Lord Dada was born on August 1, 1913 at the house of a mill worker. Since childhood, he was attracted to films and he did not have much interest in studies. For this reason, he also had to fall prey to his father’s wrath, but the firm grandfather of the tune did not give up despite all the adverse circumstances and the traditional image of the romantic hero of Hindi cinema got a new dimension. Initially, he paid a lot of attention to his body and made his body glory. He got the benefit of this. He had to work hard to enter the films and finally got a break in 1930, when producer Siraj Ali Hakim gave the role of a comedian in his silent film ‘Bewafa Aashiq’. He then acted in many silent films.
Film career
Lord Dada i.e. Lord Abhraji Palav had hypnosis of the silver curtains from childhood in his eyes. He started his life as a laborer but the attraction of films brought him to his favorite place. God came into the world of cinema during the era of mute films. He initially performed small roles. His career took a new twist as the speaking films begins. The 1940s was very good for Lord Dada. In this decade, he did memorable roles in many films. These films include ‘Bewafa Aashiq’, ‘Dosti’, ‘Tumhari Kasam’, ‘Shaukeen’ etc. Along with acting, he was also interested in the direction of film making. He made several films under the banner of Jagriti Mix and Bhagwan Arts Production which became particularly popular in a section of the society. These films include ‘Achami’, ‘Greed’, ‘Matwale’, ‘Badla’ etc. Interestingly, most of his films were low budget and action films.
Film production and direction
During this time, Lord Dada also acquired good knowledge of other genres related to film production. The ‘Himmat-e-Markan’ released in 1934 was his first speaking film. Between 1938 and 1949, he directed several low -budget stunt films and action films. Those films gained good popularity among the working class of society. Among those films, Dosti, Jalan, Criminal, Piercing Bungalow etc. are prominent.
Film albela
Seeing the deep understanding and talent in Lord Dada’s films, Raj Kapoor gave him the opinion to make social films. God made the film ‘Albela’ keeping his advice in mind. Apart from God, Geeta Bali had a major role in this. The musician of this film was C. Ramachandra and he also sung a lot in the name of Chitalkar in it. Albela film was a super hit during its era and celebrated Jubilee in many places. The magic of the song and music of this film spoke with the heads of cine lovers. One of its songs ‘Shola Jo Bhadke Dil Mera Dhadke ..’ is still well liked. After Albela, Lord Dada made ‘Jhamela’ and ‘Labella’ but both films failed and their bad days started.
Bad round
Once the career of Lord Dada, who had worked with the stars at his gestures, once slipped, then slipped. It was the condition of financial constraints that he had to do character roles for livelihood and later small roles. With the changing times, most of the colleagues of his Mayanagari started getting away from him. C. In the song ‘Shola Jo Bhadke Dil Mera Dhadke’, Lord Dada, who gives his amazing, unique and unique dancing step, is still considered as Amitabh Bachchan in his streets. On Raj Kapoor’s opinion, Lord Dada directed the film ‘Albela’ starring Geeta Bali. The song ‘Shola Jo Bhadke Dil Mera Dhadke’ from the film became extremely popular. Majlis used to freeze in the chawl
Since Lord Dada himself suffered adverse circumstances. He had recognized many challenges and difficult situations of life, but obviously he could not forget his land or root. In such a situation, he produced many such films, in which the working class and miles were focused. ‘Himmat e Marda’, released in 1934, was one of such films. This was his first speaking film. Lord Dada never changed his concern with miles laborers. He gave many promising and talented people of miles as opportunities in their film making as possible. Lord Dada was very fond of the word ‘La’. So he definitely used the word ‘La’ in each of his films. After ‘Albela’, films like ‘Jhamela’ and ‘Labella’ were produced. Albela was a superhit film of that era. This film celebrated Jubilee.
New definition given to comedy
