Bhishma Narayan Singh (English: Bhishma Narain Singh, born- 13 July, 1933; died- 1 August, 2018) was an Indian politician. He was the Governor of Assam and Meghalaya (additional charge of Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh) from 1984 to 1989. Along with this, he was also the Governor of Tamil Nadu from 1991 to 1993, which also includes additional charge of Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Bhishma Narayan Singh was born on July 13, 1933 in a farmer family in Udaygarh village of Palamu district.
He was educated at Banaras Hindu University.
In 1967, Bhishma Narayan Singh was elected member of Bihar Legislative Assembly for the first time.
He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1976. He served as the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Housing, Labour, Food, Civil Supplies and Communications at the Centre.
In 1984, he was made the Governor of Assam and Meghalaya. Later, he also served as the Governor of Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Bhishma Narayan Singh remained involved in politics and social work till his last days. He was active in many social organizations of Noida.
