Method and rules of Kharna—
Let us tell you that the second day of Chhath Mahaparva is known as Kharna, this time Kharna is being done on 6th November i.e. today. On Kharna, women take a pledge to fast and this marks the beginning of the 36-hour waterless fast. On this day, Prasad of Chhathi Maiya is prepared. After taking bath in the morning, women worship Mata Rani and prepare roti and jaggery kheer along with singing songs. Also the fruits are offered to Mata Rani.
On the day of Kharna, fasting women prepare special Prasad of Chhath Maiya. It is consumed only after offering it to God in the evening. The fast that starts from Kharna ends with offering Arghya to the Sun on Saptami Tithi. Is. On the second day of Chhath Puja, i.e. on the day of Kharna, fasting women prepare jaggery kheer on the stove after taking bath. For this, only brass or earthen utensils are used. From making the kheer to keeping it, special care is taken of its purity. Apart from kheer, thekua and laddu are also prepared as prasad.
