Father was fond of films
Sunita was born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, but was brought up in a small town in Uttarakhand. He spent the first 25 years of his life in Uttarakhand. Sunita was attracted towards the film world since childhood. His father was very fond of films. Every Friday Sunita’s father used to take her to watch movies. She used to watch a lot of movies at home also. Along with acting, Sunita was also fond of dancing. She used to dance in the court of Ravana in the Ramlila held in the village. Sunita’s early life was full of difficulties, keeping her father’s profession a secret. His father was a truck driver and worked tirelessly to support the family. Sunita had told in one of her old interviews that she used to hesitate in telling about her father’s profession. She did not talk to people about her father’s work. However, the actress later realized that it was not a matter of shame but a matter of pride that her father was working tirelessly to provide higher education to his children.

Theater honed acting
Sunita’s passion for acting grew from school plays and dance competitions. A turning point came in college when an alumnus of the National School of Drama (NSD) noticed his talent. Encouraged, he enrolled in NSD, where for three years he learned the tricks of acting and prepared himself for the challenges of the entertainment world. The initial days were spent in cramped and dirty rooms. With determination in her mind and thirty thousand rupees, Sunita moved towards the city of dreams Mumbai in the late 90s. This was the same city where Sunita had dreamed of growing up, but life in the city was not so easy. He struggled as a junior artist. He was forced to live in cramped and dirty rooms with fellow artists. He also saw days when he had to wait for hours for a role.

Sunita worked in small productions for years. She kept getting roles like maid. Disappointed by all this, he left acting for two years. She became disappointed after getting the same role again and again. As soon as he questioned his career, luck knocked at his door. He was called for audition in ‘Gullak’. After the audition, she got the role of ‘Bittu Ki Mummy’. Sunita Rajwar also became a hit with this series. However, even today the actress credits her success to those small roles, because she believes that it is because of those roles that she has reached here. After Gullak, Sunita was seen in the role of ‘Kranti Devi’, the wife of ‘Banaras’ in the series ‘Panchayat’. Here too he won everyone’s hearts with his character.
