A stampede-like situation was created in Sadar Market, one of the busiest markets of Delhi, due to the huge crowd of shoppers before Diwali. The video of this incident went viral on social media on Wednesday. The incident of pushing and shoving with women has also been captured in the alleged video of the incident. It is clearly visible in the viral video that women are stuck in a narrow path at one place. Meanwhile, a man is seen trying to pull the women and push them away from the luggage. Some women are also seen screaming in this. Meanwhile, another person is seen saying, leave it, stand straight. The crowd is so huge that people are seen pushing each other carrying big bags on their heads.
Meanwhile, the police said that its teams have been deployed in the market to avoid any untoward incident and maintain law and order. A senior official said- There is a lot of crowd in Sadar Bazaar during the festival season. We are planning to control the crowd. Soon meetings will be held with the District Magistrate, Market Association and MCD officials to make a plan to control the crowd. Another police officer said efforts were being made to restrict the entry of heavy vehicles in the area.
The police officer said that heavy vehicles often become the cause of jam. There has been no immediate reaction from Delhi Municipal Corporation on this incident. Meanwhile, a market association of Sadar Bazaar said it is planning to write a letter to Delhi Police for proper management.

Rakesh Yadav said that since Sadar Bazaar is one of the largest and oldest markets of the national capital. During the festival season, a huge crowd gathers in Sadar Bazaar. In such a situation, if proper management is not done to deal with the crowd, then some untoward incident can happen at any time.
