He is an MP in the 16th Lok Sabha of India. In the 2014 elections, he contested from Surat seat of Gujarat on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party.
After the expansion and reshuffle in the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 7, 2021, Darshana Jardosh has been made ‘Minister of State in the Ministry of Textiles’ and ‘Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways’. Surat MP Darshana Jardosh has got a place in the Narendra Modi cabinet for the first time. Darshana Jardosh, born on January 21, 1961 in Surat, Gujarat, has been the General Secretary of ‘Rashtriya Mahila Morcha’. She was elected MP for three consecutive times in the years 2009, 2014 and 2019. Darshana Jardosh, who has been in public life for four decades, has been a councilor from Surat Municipal Corporation.
