History News Desk!! Badrinath Prasad (English: Badrinath Prasad, born: January 12, 1899 – death: January 18, 1966) was a famous mathematician. Badrinath Prasad was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1963.
Education
After receiving education in the universities of Patna and Varanasi, he went abroad for higher education and obtained PhD in Mathematics from Liverpool University and D.S. from the University of Paris. Had obtained C. degrees.
Tenure
After returning from abroad, after teaching at Kashi Hindu University for some time, he went to Allahabad University and held the post of Chairman of the Mathematics Department there. He was the President of ‘Indian Mathematical Society’ and ‘Science Council’. In 1965, you presided over the Indian Science Congress.
Honors and Awards
In 1963, the Government of India honored him with ‘Padma Bhushan’ for his contribution in the field of mathematics and in 1964 he was elected a member of the Rajya Sabha.

Badrinath Prasad died on January 18, 1966 due to heart failure.
