In a tragic incident in Delhi, a head constable lost his life while dancing at his senior’s farewell party. Giving information about this incident on Thursday, a police officer said that the farewell party of SHO of Roop Nagar police station in North Delhi was going on, during which a Delhi Police head constable named Ravi Kumar died while dancing. This incident happened on Wednesday night.
According to the police, the deceased head constable Ravi Kumar was originally from Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh and joined the Delhi Police in 2010. According to the officer, the Roop Nagar SHO (Station House Officer) was recently transferred and a farewell party was held in his honour on Wednesday. While dancing at the same party, Kumar suddenly collapsed and complained of chest pain.
Family includes wife and two children
The police officer said that after which he was immediately taken to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Police said that Kumar was already suffering from some heart disease and had undergone angiography about 45 days ago.
Video went viral a few minutes before death
A video of the party a few minutes before the constable’s death has also surfaced on social media, in which Ravi Kumar is seen dancing merrily. It is being told that after this he suddenly fell down and complained of chest pain. When he was taken to the hospital, the doctor declared him dead.
