The tradition of celebrating Diwali and worshiping takes place only at night. In such a situation, Amavasya is not being celebrated on 1st November but on 31st October and Diwali will also be celebrated on the same day.
Do these things on Diwali:
On Diwali, clean the house thoroughly and decorate the house with lamps, rangoli and flowers. This pleases Goddess Lakshmi and also blesses her with happiness and prosperity.
