Shobha Naidu (English: Shobha Naidu, born- 1956; died- October 14, 2020) was one of the leading Kuchipudi dancers of India. She was an excellent disciple of the famous Swami Vampati Chinna Satyam. As a guru, Shobha Naidu trained many students in India and abroad. For his dancing skills, he received appreciation not only in the country but also abroad. Shobha Naidu also gave presentations in many cities of America and other countries including Britain.

Shobha Naidu was born in 1956 in Anakapalle in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh state.

His main achievements included choreographing the dance-dramas of Vipra Narayana, Kalyana Srinivasam and others. In these, she played various roles like Satyabhama, Devvakvi, Padmavati, Mohini, Sai Baba and Goddess Parvati and received much appreciation. He was awarded the Padma Shri (2001) for his contribution to the field of art. Apart from this, he also received many awards from Andhra Pradesh Government and many prestigious organizations. Shobha Naidu breathed her last at 1.30 am on October 14, 2020. Her husband, retired IAS officer Arjun Rao had told that she was suffering from neurological disease for a long time. He was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad. Shobha Naidu’s program was highly appreciated not only in the country but also abroad. He performed in many countries including the US, UK, Türkiye, Hong Kong, Mexico, Venezuela and Cuba. During his life, he also trained many students from India and abroad.
