Received first film fee in 20 years
Farooq Shaikh started his acting career in 1973 with the film ‘Garm Hawa’ directed by MS Satyu. According to reports, the actor did this film only for the greed of money. He told in his interview that the director had asked him to pay a fee of Rs 750 and considering this price, he had agreed to work in the film. However, Farooq also told that the director took 20 years to pay his fees.
Farooq Sheikh did not consider himself a star
Farooq used to say that he never considered himself a star. He used to say that people knew him, met him, shook hands with him, were happy with him, but no girl ever wrote him a letter in blood proposing marriage. Let us tell you that Farooq has portrayed many excellent characters on screen very beautifully in his career. The actor is alive in our hearts even though he is not among us.
