Method of worship of Ganesh Chaturthi-
On Ganesh Chaturthi, install the idol of Ganpati in the auspicious time. It is considered auspicious to install the idol of the Lord in the north or east direction of the house. Also, keep in mind that the idol should have a bhagsan trunk on the right side. Also, the idol of Ganesha should be in a sitting posture. Before installing the idol, sanctify the place and sprinkle Gangajal.
After this, place the idol of the Lord on a seat of red cloth. Now worship the Lord in a proper manner and light incense and lamp in front of the Lord. Also offer food to Ganpati and do his Aarti and recite mantras and Chalisa. It is considered best to worship the Lord both in the morning and evening on Ganesh Chaturthi.
