Vastu rules related to idol installation-
According to Vastu Shastra, while placing the Ganesha idol in the house, keep its direction in mind. Installing the Ganesha idol in the northeast corner, northeast or north direction is considered auspicious, but the Ganesha idol should not be placed in the south direction of the house even by mistake. Apart from this, do not install the idol in the toilet, dustbin, store room, or under the stairs. It is considered inauspicious.
According to Vastu Shastra, when you bring the idol of Lord Ganesha home, it should be in Lalitasana. Such an idol is considered a symbol of peace. Keeping it in the house always brings happiness and prosperity. While bringing the idol, you should keep in mind which direction the trunk of the Ganpati idol is facing.
Ganesha’s trunk should always be tilted towards the left. Such an idol provides success, happiness and positivity. According to Vastu Shastra, Lord Ganesha should have modak in his left hand and there should be a mouse vehicle near his feet. Along with this, three fingers of the right hand should be open and the first finger should be touching the thumb, this is considered auspicious.
