Born in Jammu, Gauri belongs to a Marathi family. Her father Major Subhash Vasudev Pradhan is a retired army officer, while mother Asha is a housemaker. Due to her father’s job, Gauri studied in many cities of the country. When her father retired, the whole family settled in Pune. Gauri Pradhan is the second among her three siblings. Her eldest brother Bharat is a petrochemical engineer, while her younger sister Geetanjali is an MD. Gauri is the only person in her family who made a career in the world of glamour.
Started modeling while doing graduation
When Gauri Pradhan was 18 years old and was in the second year of graduation (Electronics) from Sir Parshurambhau College, Pune, she got a chance to participate in Femina Miss India. She met Smriti Irani in this show. Gauri could not win this competition, but she had set her goal. So she shifted to Mumbai.

This is how Gauri’s love story started
While working in the TV show Kutumb, Gauri fell in love with her co-star Hiten. In fact, even before this serial, both of them had met twice during the shooting of advertisements. While working in Kutumb, both of them became very close. During that time, very few people knew that Hiten was married, but he did not hide this fact from Gauri. Both of them lived in a live-in relationship for a long time. In the year 2004, both of them chose each other as their life partners.
