On this day, devotees worship Lord Shiva and observe fast throughout the day. It is believed that by doing this, Mahadev’s blessings are showered and all the sorrows and troubles of life go away and one gets the blessings of a happy life. The first Pradosh fast of Margashirsha month will be observed on Thursday, 28th November. So today we are telling you about the method of worship through this article.
Perform Shiva puja like this on Guru Pradosh –
On the day of Budha Pradosh fast, wake up in the morning and take bath, after that wear clean clothes and keep your mind calm. Then establish Shivalinga at the place of worship and resolve to fast. Now anoint Shivling with Panchamrit. Mix milk, curd, ghee, honey and Ganga water in Panchamrit. Offer Belpatra, Dhatura and white flowers on Shivalinga.
At the time of worship, worship Lord Shiva by lighting an incense lamp and then chant the mantra Om Namah Shivay at least 108 times. After the puja is over, perform Aarti of Lord Shiva. At last, offer prasad of white things like kheer to Lord Shiva. It is believed that by worshiping Pradosh Vrat with this method one gets the blessings of Mahadev.
