Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a famous poet of his time. His poems like ‘Madhushala’ and ‘Agneepath’ are still alive in the hearts of readers. He died on 18 January 2003 at the age of 95 after a prolonged illness. Harivansh Rai married twice, his first wife was Shyama. Shyama Bachchan was only 14 years old when she got married to Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Died due to TB disease in 1936. Five years later, Harivansh Rai Bachchan married Teji Suri, a Punjabi woman who was involved in theater and singing. At this time he composed poems like ‘Need to be constructed again’. Amitabh Bachchan often reads his father’s poems on stage and shares memories related to him. According to him, his father was not only his inspiration but also a true guru.
