Kailash Nath Katju (English: Kailash Nath Katju; born- 17 June, 1887, Malwa, Madhya Pradesh; Death- 17 February 1968) was the former Chief Minister of the state of Madhya Pradesh. He beautified the post of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from January 1957 to March 1962. Kailash Nath Katju was rich in versatility. He also composed many books. He also had a special contribution to the freedom struggle of India.

Birth

Kailash Nath Katju was born on 17 June 1887 in a small princely state ‘Zora’ in Malwa, Madhya Pradesh. He belonged to the Kashmiri Brahmin family. His father’s name was Pandit Tribhuvannath Katju.

Education

Kailash Nath Katju had his early education in his maternal grandfather Lahore. Then from Lahore, B.A. After passing the examination, he came to Allahabad to get the education education. In Allahabad, under the supervision of the famous lawmaker Sir Tej Bahadur Sapru, he received the education education and continued to advocate in Kanpur for some time. After this, he came to the Allahabad High Court and advocating here, LLD in the law in the year 1919. Dr. Katju became a degree. He also received the title of D. Lit. After marriage, he became the father of three sons and two daughters.

Political activities

In 1914, Kailash Nath Katju became a member of the High Court Bar. From 1935 to 1937, Dr. Katju was the chairman of ‘Allahabad Municipal Council’. Leaving advocacy in 1936, he became a minister in the cabinet of Uttar Pradesh. He also participated in the freedom struggle of India.

Governor

After the formation of the Second Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in the year 1946, Kailash Nath Katju was again made a minister. After this, he was the Governor of Orissa from 1947 to June 1948 and the Governor of West Bengal from 1948 to 1951. In 1951–1957, you were the minister of various departments in the Union Cabinet. Kailash Nath Katju was also a member of the Constituent Assembly.

Chief Minister

Mandsaur was the constituency of Kailash Nath Katju and he was associated with the Congress party. From 31 January 1957 to March 1962, Dr. Katju was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. For the progress of Madhya Pradesh, he did many remarkable work and moved on the path of progress. Dr. Katju also had the distinction of becoming a member of the first Lok Sabha.
