The actor was in the fourth stage of stomach cancer. At the age of 67, Junior Mahmood lost the battle of his life with cancer. His health was not good for the last few days. The actor had a great stardom in Hindi cinema in the 60s and 70s. His death came as a deep blow to Bollywood.

While shooting, the child actor was repeatedly forgetting his dialogues. After which Junior Mehmood interrupted the child artiste for acting. After which the director of the film asked Junior Mehmood to speak the dialogues. Then Junior Mehmood has completed the shot by speaking the dialogues in one go. He was given five rupees by the director for this performance of Junior Mehmood.

Father was an engine driver in the railways.
Junior Mahmood i.e. Mohammad Naeem Syed was born on 15 November 1956 in Wadla Railway Colony, Mumbai. He was brought up in a very ordinary family. His father’s name was Masood Ahmed Siddiqui. Who worked as an engine driver in the railways. Junior Mahmood’s father named him Mohammad Naeem Syed.

GP Junior Mehmood’s career started in 1968 with Sippy’s film ‘Brahmachari’. With this, Junior Mehmood got a chance to work with Shammi Kapoor and Mumtaz. After this, he worked in many films like ‘Do Rasta’, ‘Aan Milo Sajna’, ‘Kati Patang’, ‘Hati Mere Sathi’ and ‘Karwaan’.

Mahmood said laughingly, ‘You also come.’ In this party, Junior Mehmood danced on Mehmood’s song “Kale Hai Se Kya Hua Dil Wale Hai”. Due to which he lifted him in his lap and said to his father, “Leave this boy in my care.” Eventually, everyone started calling him Junior Mehmood.
