Nityanand Rai (English: Nityanand Rai, born January 1, 1966, Hajipur, Bihar) is a politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is an MP in the Sixteenth Lok Sabha of India and is the Union Minister of State for Home in the Central Government. Nityanand Rai is a Member of Parliament elected from Ujiyarpur in the 2014 general election as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.
Nityanand Rai was born in a farmer family on January 1, 1966 in Karnapura village, 4 kilometers away from Hajipur, the headquarters of Vaishali, Bihar, the mother of the republic. His mother Tetri Devi was a housewife. Father Ganga Vishun Rai was the head of his Gram Panchayat-Karnpura for many years.

Nityanand Rai joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the year 1990 and started working from Panchayat level. While discharging the responsibilities of State Minister and State General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Bihar State, he assumed the charge of the President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in the year 1998. In the year 2000, he was elected member of Bihar Legislative Assembly from Hajipur constituency. Thereafter, he worked on the posts of State Minister, State General Secretary and State Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Bihar State. On November 30, 2016, he was nominated as the President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Bihar State. As the President of Bihar State of BJP, Nityanand Rai took the party to every village and booth level. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP and its ally NDA under the chairmanship of Nityanand Rai. achieved an unprecedented victory on 39 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats. Nityanand Rai himself won again as a Lok Sabha member by more than three lakh votes.

Five orphan children, who are from Vatsalya Gram, Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, bear the housing, education and other expenses incurred during the year. Adopted three minor poor daughters who were victims of gangrape and were from outside the constituency. Took responsibility from their education to their marriage. 43 children affected by polio have been adopted and efforts were made to make them completely healthy through operations with various types of assistance. Many children have also become completely free from the effects of polio.[1]
During the teaching period of the college, arrangements were made for free book bank and free coaching for economically weaker students. Has been awarded twice in Bihar for donating and organizing blood.
