Ganga Prasad Srivastava (born 23 April 1889, Saran, Bihar; died 30 August 1976) was a English writer. Ganga Prasad was a good storyteller and story writer as well as a good actor. He has acted in many plays. During that time, Srivastava ji was a strong actor of one-act plays. Ganga Babu, who was adept in writing one-act plays and was mature in simplicity and acting, is known as the first English one-act play writer. Ganga Babu was decorated with titles like ‘Sahitya Varidhi’ and ‘Sahitya Maharathi’.
Prasad Srivastava was born on 23 April, 1889 in Chhapra, District Saran, Bihar province. He has a prominent place among English humor writers. G. P. Srivastava’s full name is Ganga Prasad Srivastava. But he is famous among English readers as G. P. Srivastava. Ganga Prasad ji passed BA, LLB examination from Prayag University and practiced law in Gonda district.

The tradition of humor that Bharatendu Harishchandra had established in ‘Andher Nagari Chaupat Raja’, he has developed humor in the same direction.
